Monmouth to Pandy

Monmouth to Pandy

We’re a bit behind with our posts, sorry about that. But a lot has been happening lately, not really to do with our trip.

Anyway, on our way to Pandy we were more fortunate with the weather, it started out a bit cloudy but got better and stayed dry and sunny for the rest of the hike to Raglan where we stayed at a really nice Bed and Breakfast place that had taken us in even though they hadn’t been doing B&B for quite some time. The nice old lady who ran the place also drove us to the nearest village (five miles away) to do some shopping, on the way she backed into one of her other cars. The ride along the narrow backcountry-lanes was a little scary but it turned out that her reflexes were better than her eyesight, so we got there and back quite safely. Thanks for that!

Next day we continued our journey on to Pandy where we came past White Castle (Y Castell Gwyn) wich we visited and made some more 4 legged friends on the way. In Pandy we had a rather large dorm all to ourselves and a good nights sleep to prepare for our next, challenging stretch: the Black Mountains.
