Since we couldn’t enter Yosemite from it’s north-eastern side and had to go all the way back south, we decided spontaneously to stop for a day at Sequoia National Park. It’s best known for the Giant Forest, where you can wander around the impressive, grand Sequoia trees. Among them “General Sherman”, the biggest tree on earth. In Giant Forest we hiked around the big trees, that were perfect for treehugging. We had two seasons, summer and winter, in one day. We didn’t encounter…
We wanted sun and heat – so where else to go but the hottest place on earth? It was over 30° Celsius in Death Valley, but felt a lot hotter. And this was still winter – in summer it gets easily over 40° Celsius. The highest temperature recorded was 56.7° Celsius.
