Into the woods

  Since we couldn’t enter Yosemite from it’s north-eastern side and had to go all the way back south, we decided spontaneously to stop for a day at Sequoia National Park. It’s best known for the Giant Forest, where you can wander around the impressive, grand Sequoia trees. Among them “General Sherman”, the biggest tree on earth. Siesta Key: Where the sun sets most beautifully…

  We’ve spent the last four days in Siesta Key close to Sarasota. A beautiful little island with the most perfect beaches we’ve seen so far. Very broad and with sand like powdered sugar – so white, it almost looks like snow. With lots of wildlife to watch, funny shorebirds running around. And a sunset that’s breathtaking. There is also a small village with cute little cafés, shops and restaurants. Quite touristy, but not exaggerated like Key West. All in all a…
