  Sunday we drove south to visit Georgia’s cost and the Golden Isles. We went to Jekyll Island, known best for its Driftwood Beach on its northern cost. The island has been eroding there very slowly, losing the nourishing ground for the maritime forest, so it looks like a huge tree cemetery. A great place to wander around and take some pictures. Siesta Key: Where the sun sets most beautifully…

  We’ve spent the last four days in Siesta Key close to Sarasota. A beautiful little island with the most perfect beaches we’ve seen so far. Very broad and with sand like powdered sugar – so white, it almost looks like snow. With lots of wildlife to watch, funny shorebirds running around. And a sunset that’s breathtaking. There is also a small village with cute little cafés, shops and restaurants. Quite touristy, but not exaggerated like Key West. All in all a…
