  The Zona Colonial was our first stop here in Santo Domingo. While only being a small part of the town, it is probably the oldest with a great amount of historical sites to visit.   It feels kind of strange to have breakfast in an air conditioned hotel restaurant with the sun shining bright outside listening to “Jingle Bells” and other Christmas songs.
