To cover this distance would have taken at least 24 hours on the Transsiberian Train.     Hands down the nicest place for a good meal we’ve been to in Beijing. Located in one of Beijing’s Hutongs this cosy restaurant serves great meals and isn’t at all expensive. The service is attentive, very welcoming and friendly. Its the kind of place you instantly feel at home. They have an english menu and some staff there even speak English. Beijing was our first impression of China. To us it seemed more like three cities in one. There is the modern Beijing where people live and work, it’s very alive, a bit scruffy, busy, loud and quite chaotic, especially the traffic. Always watch out for traffic, they’re out to get you.
